ಕೆಲಸದ ವಿವರ

Help develop the embedded software behind one of the world's first scalable road power plants.

Our client is a fast growing GreenTech startup based in Mils, Austria, developing one of the world's first scalable road power plants. By transforming existing road infrastructure into a new source of renewable energy, the team is creating a completely new way of generating clean electricity without additional land use. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will develop the embedded software that controls this groundbreaking technology and helps bring it from prototype to international deployment. Working closely with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and physics engineers, you will build intelligent control systems, integrate hardware and software, and help shape the future of clean energy infrastructure.

If you enjoy taking ownership, solving complex engineering challenges and building products with real world impact, this is your opportunity to leave your mark.

Tasks

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will develop the embedded software that powers the next generation of the Road Power Plant and helps prepare the technology for international deployment.

  • Embedded Software Development: Design and develop embedded software for the Road Power Plant and future energy harvesting systems.
  • Firmware Engineering: Implement robust firmware and real time control algorithms for embedded controllers.
  • Simulation & Validation: Develop and maintain MATLAB/Simulink models for system simulation, validation and optimization.
  • Hardware Integration: Integrate sensors, actuators and communication interfaces into the overall electrical system architecture.
  • Testing & Debugging: Perform Software in the Loop (SIL), Hardware in the Loop (HIL), laboratory and field testing to validate system performance.
  • Data Infrastructure: Develop and maintain cloud based data storage solutions and databases for pilot installations and operational analysis.
  • Cross Functional Engineering: Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and physics teams to create reliable integrated system solutions.
  • Prototype & Scale Up: Support prototype development and contribute to the transition from prototype to serial production.
  • Continuous Improvement: Optimize software architecture, reliability and overall system performance for future product generations.
  • International Field Projects: Support pilot installations and field testing in Europe and internationally whenever required.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems or a related field.
  • Several years of professional experience in embedded software development using C/C++ or comparable programming languages.
  • Experience working with microcontrollers such as STM32, ARM Cortex M or similar platforms.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, electrical system simulation and embedded control systems.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, UART, I2C or Ethernet.
  • Experience with debugging, testing and hardware software integration.
  • Strong ownership mentality with the ability to work independently in a fast paced startup environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English. German is considered an advantage.
  • Ideally, you also bring experience with Python, Hardware in the Loop testing, Git, renewable energy systems, power electronics or startup environments.
Benefits
  • Technology & Innovation: Develop the embedded software behind one of the world’s first Road Power Plants and contribute to a groundbreaking ClimateTech innovation with global potential.
  • Ownership: Take responsibility for embedded software development, from real time control algorithms and firmware to testing, validation and production readiness.
  • Career Growth: Grow together with a fast growing GreenTech startup and expand your technical responsibilities as the company continues to scale.
  • Interdisciplinary Engineering: Work closely with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic engineers and physicists to develop integrated hardware software systems.
  • Development: Benefit from structured onboarding, mentoring by experienced engineers and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Performance & Participation: Performance based bonuses and the opportunity to earn company participation through exceptional contributions.
  • Real World Impact: Experience your software controlling hardware in laboratory testing, field validation and international pilot projects.
  • Work Environment: Modern office, latest hardware, company parking, free drinks, snacks, kitchen and well equipped social areas.
  • Mobility: Bike Leasing programme and organised carpool between Innsbruck and Mils.
  • Compensation: Gross annual salary starting at €50.000, with the willingness to offer a higher salary depending on experience and qualifications.
