Electrical Engineer – Technical Office

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to be part of our Technical Office based in Riyadh. The position entails detailed design, review, and documentation of lighting systems, low-voltage power distribution, and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems within a Building Information Modeling (BIM) environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and examine electrical design plans for lighting, low-voltage power systems, and comprehensive ELV systems such as fire alarms, Building Management Systems (BMS), CCTV, access control, and structured cabling.
• Create a variety of electrical drawings including design, shop, and as-built drawings, along with precise Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve design conflicts ensuring seamless integration of systems.
• Utilize software tools including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks for BIM coordination, AutoCAD, Dialux Evo, Ecodial, and ETAP for design and analysis.
• Conduct thorough reviews to ensure designs conform to the Saudi Building Code and international standards such as IEC, BS, NEC, and NFPA.
• Apply a strong understanding of available materials and supplier options prevalent in the Saudi market.
• Contribute to preparation of technical specifications, material submittals, and engage in value engineering initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, preferably within technical offices or consultancy environments.
• Advanced proficiency in BIM software including Revit and Navisworks, as well as AutoCAD, Dialux Evo, and power system analysis tools.
• Demonstrated expertise in producing detailed design, shop, and as-built drawings alongside accurate quantity estimations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Saudi electricity market including materials and suppliers and adherence to Saudi Building Code and global standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities to efficiently coordinate across various disciplines.
• Availability to commence employment within one month.
