Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous Draftsman / Detailer who specializes in converting preliminary sketches and engineering ideas into precise technical drawings and blueprints utilizing CAD software. This role requires working collaboratively with project leaders and engineers to guarantee that all designs align with rigorous specifications and adhere to safety regulations.
Primary Duties
- Produce comprehensive 2D and 3D technical drawings originating from initial concepts and engineers' notes.
- Perform accurate calculations for dimensions, material weights, and assembly details.
- Update and refine technical drafts in response to project developments and team input.
- Verify that all final drawings meet local construction codes and industry standards.
- Organize and maintain well-documented project files with proper version control.
Qualifications
- Possess a diploma or degree in drafting, architecture, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Have a minimum of three to five years of practical drafting experience.
- Demonstrate strong capabilities in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or Tekla.
- Understand manufacturing or construction methodologies and possess solid mathematical skills.
