Division Safety and Health Manager

About the Role

The Division Safety and Health Manager serves within the Orkin Division of Rollins, Inc., collaborating closely with the Rollins Safety Team to minimize automotive, workers' compensation, and general liability claims. This leadership role supports branches and regions by executing safety strategies, scrutinizing incident causes, and disseminating key learnings to enhance safety culture across the Division.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and execute improvements to safety performance metrics such as CFR, IFR, and TRIR.
• Ensure all regions comply with mandatory safety trainings and regulatory standards.
• Lead thorough post-incident investigations to uncover root causes and share insights.
• Provide both in-person and virtual trainings covering OSHA, DOT, driver safety, fumigation safety, and new safety technologies or initiatives.
• Support struggling branches and regions through corrective actions and tailored safety business plans.
• Advise senior leadership, including Division President and Region Managers, on risk management, compliance, and safety procedures.
• Engage with regulatory agencies regarding inspections and safety concerns.
• Perform regular branch and field audits to evaluate safety policy adherence and escalate areas for improvement.
• Maintain current knowledge of all safety policies, procedures, and programs and ensure effective communication.
• Track safety compliance data, oversee incident investigations, maintain OSHA records, and manage corrective actions.
• Coach branch teams on implementing compliance programs and delivering training.
• Participate actively in Safety Team and management meetings, providing updates and support.
• Work closely with management to integrate a strong safety culture within daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years’ experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance, ideally within pest control or service sectors.
• Preferred certifications include ASP, GSP, CSP, or equivalents from BCSP.
• Demonstrated experience managing safety in field environments with decentralized teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and instructional skills.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate data, identify safety trends, and address risks proactively.
• Comprehensive understanding of OSHA 1910 regulations and EHS compliance standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and safety management software systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel to various branches, field locations, and contractor sites as necessary.
