Job description

About Four Seasons

Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts thrives on the dedication of its people, a diverse group driven to excel and foster mutual respect and kindness. Our global teams craft extraordinary experiences for guests, residents, and partners by committing to luxurious hospitality delivered with authentic care. We believe that providing a stellar employee experience and positive workplace culture is essential to enabling such exceptional service.

At Four Seasons, we value recognizing familiar faces, extending warm welcomes to new ones, and treating everyone with the consideration we expect ourselves. Our mission is to create memorable interactions that endure, enriching guests and colleagues alike by fostering real connections to people and the environment.

About The Location

The Red Sea destination is envisioned as one of the premier luxury beach locales in the region, spanning natural islands and lagoons along 200 km of Saudi Arabia's west coast, between Umluj and Al Wajh. The Four Seasons Resort, set on Shura Island—the main hub featuring a yacht marina, leisure amenities, retail spaces, and an 18-hole golf course—embraces sustainability at its core. With a marine spatial planning simulation guiding development to protect the environment and prevent overtourism, the resort integrates renewable energy and large conserved zones.

The resort will offer ~149 guest rooms and suites with uninterrupted views of pristine beaches and clear waters, plus six dining venues, meeting rooms, a marine discovery centre, a Kids for All Seasons area, a full-service spa with hammam, tennis courts, three outdoor pools with cabanas, and two distinct beaches catering separately to families and adults. Activities cover relaxation, sports, and water experiences including coral reef exploration.

Role Overview

The Discovery Centre Attendant plays an essential role in delivering insightful, enjoyable learning experiences that highlight the Red Sea's natural beauty, cultural richness, and sustainability efforts. Positioned at the resort’s innovative Discovery Centre, you will help operate daily functions while facilitating engaging, educational programs for guests across all age groups.

  • Enhance guest experiences through hands-on learning opportunities and storytelling.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and appealing presentation standards throughout the Discovery Centre.
  • Manage inventory of materials, supplies, and displays, ensuring they are well-stocked and in excellent condition.
  • Help with the setup and dismantling of workshops, programs, and special events.
  • Monitor guest engagement with interactive exhibits and enforce safety guidelines.
  • Respond to inquiries about environmental topics, sustainability initiatives, and schedule of Discovery Centre events.
  • Collaborate effectively with departments including Recreation, Sustainability, Housekeeping, and Rooms to support integrated programming.
  • Provide regular feedback to supervisors regarding guest interests, suggestions, and program impact.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience in hospitality, guest services, recreation, or environmental education is preferred.
  • Strong enthusiasm for nature, conservation, and cultural heritage.
  • Comfortable engaging guests of all ages in both formal and informal settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in English required; fluency in Arabic or other languages advantageous.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Interest in marine ecosystems, sustainability, or local traditions is highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive net salary in a tax-free environment.
  • Travel and live-out allowances (if applicable).
  • 30 days paid vacation plus 10 public holidays annually.
  • Paid home leave tickets.
  • Complimentary employee meals.
  • Medical and life insurance coverage.
