Qiddiya Investment Company is a Saudi-based developer and investment holding entity dedicated to creating expansive entertainment, sports, and cultural destinations through its flagship Qiddiya City and associated projects. The focus is on delivering large-scale, high-quality experiences that shape a landmark destination with lasting public impact.
Role Overview
As the Director of Signage and Wayfinding, you will be instrumental in shaping the navigation and immersive experience throughout Qiddiya City and its surrounding estate. This strategic leadership role involves collaborating with various internal and external teams to establish a clear, unified, and brand-consistent wayfinding system that enhances both visitor engagement and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the design, production, and implementation of all signage and wayfinding components across distinct districts and the wider estate of Qiddiya City.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive signage and wayfinding strategy aligned with Qiddiya’s organizational objectives and visual branding.
- Collaborate closely with design consultants to formulate detailed signage guidelines and standard typologies to maintain consistency across all touchpoints.
- Work alongside architects, urban planners, designers, and construction teams to embed signage solutions within buildings and public spaces effectively.
- Coordinate with marketing, branding, and communications departments to ensure the visual language and messaging are coherent and on-brand.
- Exhibit leadership behaviors that reflect Qiddiya’s values, prioritizing a safety-first ethos including authority to halt work when necessary.
- Partner with the Senior Manager to cultivate and grow the signage and wayfinding team, providing mentorship to junior local Saudi professionals within the field.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a degree in architecture, graphic design, or urban planning.
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in signage, wayfinding, or environmental graphics within complex development projects.
- Demonstrated experience in team building and mentoring junior design staff.
- Proven capability in establishing signage standards, typologies, and aligning design guidelines with brand identity.
- Experience managing coordination among architects, planners, consultants, and construction stakeholders.
- Knowledgeable about safety regulations, accessibility standards, and practical implementation criteria related to public realm signage.
- Professional working proficiency in English language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit software tools.
- Experience with GIS-based tools for wayfinding and spatial planning.
- Professional proficiency in Arabic language is an advantage.
