Job description

About the Role

Join Singtel as the Director of Strategic Insights and Performance Management, leading a department within the Group Chief Corporate Office devoted to enterprise insight, performance management, and analytics. This function supports six key areas: Procurement, Legal, Risk & Compliance, Property, Global Business Services, and Corporate Centre Transformation. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Centre Transformation, the role shapes strategic priorities and fosters decision-making excellence across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Group Chief Corporate Office’s enterprise performance management, including involvement in the Annual Operating Plan, Mid-Term Plan, and quarterly reviews to ensure alignment across the six functions.
  • Establish and govern performance management frameworks, reporting standards, KPI governance, and accountability processes.
  • Synthesize strategic positions for corporate documents, board committee papers, and senior management submissions.
  • Translate complex business challenges into clear strategic choices and drive resolution within top management committees.
  • Partner with heads of six functions to prioritize analytical projects and generate executive-level insights for decision-making.
  • Lead insight synthesis on spend, supplier performance, legal compliance, operational efficiency, and transformation outcomes.
  • Identify and articulate emerging risks and potential intervention points for senior leadership.
  • Champion forward-looking, predictive analytics over retrospective reporting.
  • Oversee modernization of analytics using Databricks, Power BI, and AI-enabled tools to enhance management visibility and shorten decision cycle times.
  • Define and govern KPI frameworks to ensure a reliable single source of truth and foster enterprise-wide adoption of common reporting standards.
  • Build, lead, and develop a small team of senior managers in strategic insight, performance management, and analytics.
  • Represent the Group Chief Corporate Office in governance forums and lead cross-functional collaboration efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in strategy, performance management, executive advisory, and enterprise analytics, including at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record advising C-suite or Group-level executives on enterprise decisions and board-level communications.
  • Expertise in enterprise performance management, KPI governance, and AOP/MTP cycle leadership.
  • Strong experience leading senior, leverage-oriented teams across strategy, performance, insight, and analytics in matrix structures.
  • Deep strategic insight capabilities, able to deliver recommendations for Corporate Management Committee, Group Management Committee, and board committees.
  • Experience overseeing Databricks (SQL), Power BI, and analytics modernization efforts at an enterprise level.
  • Excellent executive communication and storytelling skills, capable of preparing board-grade papers and delivering presentations to senior committees.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML applications in enterprise analytics and management reporting.
  • High-level stakeholder influence without formal authority and strong leadership presence across groups and operating companies.
  • Proven fiduciary discretion and confidentiality with sensitive corporate information.
  • Capacity to attract, nurture, and retain senior managers, leveraging a small team for high impact results.

Additional Information

This position involves direct accountability for the quality and timeliness of enterprise decisions within the Corporate Office. The role demands senior committee engagement support, including pre-meeting analysis, position paper development, briefing materials, and post-meeting follow-up. Candidates must be comfortable operating with capital and board-sensitive information in a highly confidential setting.
