About H.AAPI
H.AAPI is a nonprofit focused on helping the Asian American and Pacific Islander community grow and succeed through networking opportunities, programs, practical resources, and helpful tools. The organization offers affordable, accessible, and high-quality events, webinars, and services designed to support students, young professionals, and working professionals.
Its goal is to create a bridge for people at different stages of life, across interests and career paths, so they can exchange ideas, build connections, and leave each event with something meaningful—whether that is a new insight or a lasting relationship.
If you want to help strengthen the AAPI community while building professional connections and supporting mission-driven work, H.AAPI welcomes your interest.

- Organize and supervise fundraising events, campaigns, and donor engagement activities.
- Keep donor information and fundraising records accurate and up to date.
- Work with the Communications team to prepare fundraising materials, donor updates, impact summaries, and proposals.
- Represent H.AAPI at community gatherings and networking events to raise awareness and build new funding relationships.
- Bring in, coordinate, and support volunteers and committee members involved in fundraising and special events.
- Take on additional duties as needed to advance the organization’s mission and strategic goals.

- Strong skills in organization, communication, and careful attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and with others in a small-team environment.
- Comfort using basic digital tools such as Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Teams, plus a willingness to learn new systems.
- Background in fundraising, sales, marketing, community engagement, or partnership management.
- Access to a laptop and a stable internet connection.
- Willingness and ability to travel within New York City for program support with advance notice.
- Preferred: experience in development, nonprofit work, or startup settings.
- Preferred: experience working in collaborative, community-oriented teams.
- Preferred: experience preparing grant proposals.
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, education, social work, communications, or a related field is preferred.
- All roles are unpaid volunteer positions.
- Expected time commitment is 10 to 15 hours per week.
- No one should work more than 8 hours unless they speak with a manager.
- Equal employment opportunity applies, with no discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, or any other protected characteristic under applicable federal, state, or local law.
