About the Role

MOBCO Group is looking for an experienced Department Communications Specialist to join the Commercial and Contracts Department. This role involves managing both internal and external communications, handling commercial documentation and correspondence, producing reports, and coordinating activities across various projects. The ideal applicant will have more than five years of experience in the construction or contracting sector, backed by a solid foundation in Commerce or Business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all official communications for the Commercial & Contracts Department.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain essential commercial and contractual correspondence with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Compose professional letters, notices, emails, memos, and contractual documents.
  • Organize and maintain commercial and contract documentation, including registers and records.
  • Work closely with project teams to gather and consolidate commercial and contractual data.
  • Generate periodic commercial reports, status updates, dashboards, and summaries for management review.
  • Monitor all correspondence, submissions, approvals, responses, and pending tasks.
  • Assist the Commercial and Contracts team in tracking claims, contract variations, notices, and communications.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups and escalate unresolved commercial or contractual issues.
  • Facilitate effective communication among Head Office, Project Teams, Consultants, Clients, and Subcontractors.
  • Maintain confidentiality and control over sensitive commercial and contractual materials.
  • Support preparation of presentations, record meeting minutes, track actions, and produce departmental reports.
  • Ensure all departmental communications and documents comply with company policies and document control standards.
  • Provide administrative and coordination assistance to the Commercial & Contracts management team as needed.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • More than five years of relevant experience, ideally in the construction or contracting field.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial and contract operations within the construction industry.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven expertise in preparing professional business and contractual correspondence.
  • Familiarity with managing commercial documentation, claims, variations, notices, and contract administration.
  • Strong skills in organization and coordination.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High attention to detail and strong document management capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in Saudi or Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) construction environments is advantageous.
