Job description
Position Overview
The Deli Bakery Team Lead supports the leadership of the Fresh departments, managing daily operations and assisting associates through coaching and training. This position ensures superior customer service and oversees task execution to maintain seamless workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service by warmly greeting customers, assisting with product information and purchases, addressing concerns, and escalating issues as necessary.
- Guide and coordinate daily task completion aligned with priorities communicated by the Fresh Coach and Store Management, including delegating and verifying completion of Customer Availability activities.
- Evaluate the presentation and appearance of Fresh Departments, identify areas needing improvement, and execute merchandising updates as needed.
- Foster open communication by leading daily team meetings to provide updates, establish goals, and monitor team productivity.
- Collaborate with the People Lead to review schedules and assign associates to ensure adequate coverage and support across all store areas.
- Conduct tours alongside coaches and team members to identify training needs, provide development opportunities through teaching and feedback.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment by enforcing company policies, completing safety inspections, and ensuring cleanliness of displays and fixtures.
- Perform tasks related to GTA/Workday systems supporting management functions.
- Partner with coaches and People Lead to facilitate performance management and development discussions; support recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
Compensation
The starting wage for this role is $20.85 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must be at least 16 years old.
