Role Summary
This full-time role, based onsite in Christchurch, operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. You will work as part of an experienced and upbeat team delivering outstanding customer service and expert product guidance. Your responsibilities will include managing incoming enquiries, processing orders, preparing quotes, pursuing sales opportunities, and nurturing customer relationships to grow existing accounts. This position offers a valuable chance to enhance your product knowledge, refine sales abilities, and directly contribute to customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound trade counter enquiries via phone and email, ensuring excellent customer service and driving sales.
- Develop sales by following up with customers, expanding accounts, conducting outbound prospecting, and supporting promotional activities.
- Generate quotes, process orders, and manage sales opportunities using Salesforce, SAP, and associated systems.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by offering product advice and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- Collaborate closely with sales, warehouse, and logistics teams to guarantee accurate order fulfillment and superior customer experiences.
- Support warehouse operations by assisting with picking and packing customer orders.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in customer service and sales, including handling inbound and outbound calls and upselling techniques.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and ERP systems such as SAP, coupled with a willingness to learn new tools.
- Possessing a forklift license is advantageous to support operational tasks.
