About the Role

This role places you as the representative of Tesco, serving customers right at their doorsteps. Beyond driving, you will provide excellent customer service with friendliness and dependability. The work is physical, varied, and mostly independent, with support always available from your team at the base.

Availability

• Tuesday: 08:30 to 19:00
• Wednesday: 18:00 to 22:00
• Friday: 18:00 to 22:00
• Saturday: 18:00 to 22:00

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order of your van, trays, and work area to ensure deliveries are in perfect condition.
• Load the van securely and conduct all safety checks to confirm the vehicle is roadworthy and ready for service.
• Communicate clearly with customers about any changes to their order, including substitutions or short-dated items, and manage refunds to keep customer satisfaction high.
• Handle all products carefully, treating every delivery with care to uphold quality standards and customer trust.
• Complete deliveries within the allotted time slots, providing friendly and genuine service that leaves customers feeling valued.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to build strong relationships with team members to foster a positive work environment and excellent service.
• Warm and welcoming demeanor towards customers and colleagues alike.
• Adaptability and quick response to changing customer needs and operational shifts while on the road and at the store.
• Possession of a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (full or automatic) held for at least one year, with a maximum of three penalty points.
