Construction Site Manager - Fit Out

Company Overview

O’Neill & Brennan Ireland is recruiting a seasoned Site Manager on behalf of a reputable contractor engaged in diverse residential and commercial projects across Ireland. The appointed manager will oversee a commercial fit-out project located in County Dublin, managing all site operations daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily activities on the construction site.
• Maintain precise site documentation, including records, reports, drawings, and other project paperwork.
• Evaluate plans, drawings, and specifications, coordinating subcontractor supervision throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead and synchronize site personnel, subcontractors, and specialist trades to ensure seamless execution.
• Guarantee all work meets the highest quality, workmanship, and safety standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and project team to align delivery with the established construction schedule.
• Manage quality control and health and safety compliance, ensuring adherence to current regulations and client demands.
• Supervise all phases of the fit-out process, such as first-fix, second-fix, finishing touches, M&E coordination, and the final handover.
• Ensure on-time project completion within budget and specified quality benchmarks.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, design teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate successful project delivery.
• Efficiently handle snagging, defect remedial works, and finalize all tasks leading to project handover.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least five years of site management experience on fit-out or refurbishment projects within Ireland.
• Previous role as a Site Manager is mandatory.
• Capable of interpreting construction drawings, technical documents, and specifications.
• Proven track record managing commercial fit-out projects across sectors such as office, retail, hospitality, and healthcare.
• Familiarity with current building regulations, certification protocols, and industry standards.
• A strong sense of accountability and ownership over assigned tasks and projects.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Well-versed in health and safety, quality control, and construction procedures.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Desirable: Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
