Overview
EWC CANADA is recruiting a full-time contract Construction Project Coordinator for their Edmonton Altea Project, commencing immediately. This role demands a candidate with specialized education in architectural technology or equivalent technical experience, skilled in various software and knowledgeable about commercial construction processes and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing distribution and organization of project drawings.
- Updating project registers and using Project Management Software to track change notices and orders; supporting the Project Manager with drafting proposals, RFPs, tenders, budgets, cash flows, and schedules.
- Issuing Notices of Revision, Site Instructions, and Requests for Information.
- Attending meetings to record and distribute minutes.
- Processing shop drawings and producing slab edge drawings.
- Handling administrative filing and composing progress reports as needed.
- Developing documentation related to project close-out including warranty manuals and occupancy inspections.
- Performing general AutoCAD drafting tasks.
- Distributing reports from consultants and city officials to subcontractors.
- Providing assistance to the Project Manager in various project management activities.
- Promoting ideas for enhancing company procedures with a constructive and supportive approach.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of an Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology or Technician’s Diploma with applicable experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Understanding of commercial construction management and overall construction workflow.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues.
- Ability to function independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational abilities concerning paperwork, and effective problem-solving aptitude.
Additional Details
- Contract Duration: 5 months.
- Compensation: $55,000 to $70,000 annually.
- Start Date: Immediate.
