Role overview
Launceston Airport is seeking an experienced Construction Project Coordinator to join its Planning & Infrastructure team. This position offers the chance to contribute to a wide mix of minor capital works across a busy, live airport setting. The work spans building, civil and infrastructure projects, with regular interaction across airport tenants, contractors, regulators and operational teams. The role plays an important part in supporting the continued growth and development of Tasmania’s fastest-growing airport.
What you will do
- Oversee and help deliver the airport’s minor capital works program, making sure projects are completed safely, within schedule, on budget and to the required industry standards.
- Manage coordination with contractors, consultants, tenants and third parties, while ensuring airport rules, safety expectations and regulatory responsibilities are met.
- Assist Project Managers with major capital works by handling reporting, procurement support, contractor onboarding, permit coordination and stakeholder communication.
What the team is looking for
- Hands-on experience delivering building and civil infrastructure projects, including strong capability in project and contractor coordination.
- Well-developed stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, regulators and operational teams.
- A proactive, positive approach with strong organisation, communication and problem-solving abilities, ideally gained in construction, infrastructure, facilities or project delivery settings.
