Position Overview

Join GardaWorld as a Government Building Security Guard in Thompson, Manitoba. This role centers on delivering outstanding client service while ensuring a safe, secure atmosphere for employees, visitors, and the public. Serving as the initial point of contact, you will be instrumental in fostering a welcoming environment while upholding security standards.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday: 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily security duties including visible deterrence and thorough report/documentation.
• Engage consistently with visitors, clients, and the public providing essential customer service and information.
• Support access control measures and monitor building occupancy.
• Conduct routine internal and external building patrols and maintain a visible security presence to prevent incidents.
• Manage crowd control and respond promptly to emergencies such as fires, medical events, or breaches of security.
• Utilize access control technology proficiently.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Prior experience in security roles is advantageous.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Available for afternoon shift work.
• Exhibit leadership qualities and sound problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to operate effectively under stressful conditions.
