Job Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Cashier offers an opportunity to grow your retail skills while delivering outstanding customer service during checkout to build customer loyalty. The role also involves protecting company assets by carefully observing loss prevention measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet customers in a friendly manner.
- Efficiently handle all purchase transactions including disabling merchandise security tags as per the EAS Program.
- Promote company-sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable causes.
- Help customers with packing and loading their purchases.
- Adhere to safe work procedures including appropriate lifting and maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Ensure register security through accurate cash handling, compliance with company policies, and vigilance.
- Refer specific service or transaction issues to the Customer Service Manager as needed.
Compensation
The starting pay rate is $17.75 per hour.
