Overview

Serving as a Cashier at Walmart Canada offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your retail and customer service skills. The main responsibility is to deliver outstanding customer experiences during checkout, fostering customer loyalty while vigilantly safeguarding company assets against loss.

Main Duties

• Welcome every customer warmly with politeness and friendliness.
• Efficiently handle all purchase transactions, including deactivating merchandise per the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) program.
• Promote company-sponsored initiatives such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable campaigns.
• Assist customers by bagging and loading their merchandise properly.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Safeguard cash register security and integrity through careful cash handling, compliance with company policies, and vigilance of the work environment.
• Refer customers to the Customer Service Manager for specific service or transaction queries when necessary.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $18.40.
