Position Summary

The Cash in Transit Officer role involves the secure and safe transportation of cash between various locations. This position supports operational service delivery while mitigating risks to the business. Duties alternate between driving and courier responsibilities, sometimes working solo or in partnership to ensure smooth operational flow.

Working Hours and Location

• Location: Birmingham, B7 4AJ
• Contract: 45 hours per week over 4 days, each shift includes 11.25 hours with paid breaks
• Shift times range from 4:20 AM to 8:00 PM, with weekend work on a rota basis

Key Responsibilities

• Operate independently or with a partner, performing driver or courier tasks as assigned
• Service ATM machines by securely transporting and deploying cash
• Adhere strictly to company procedures, completing all required documentation to meet operational goals
• Drive and park company vehicles responsibly following the Highway Code, company policy, and safety protocols
• Maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver efficient customer service
• Communicate promptly and clearly with colleagues and branch management to resolve issues or concerns effectively

Qualifications and Requirements

• Provide a continuous 10-year employment and education history, explaining any employment gaps
• Hold a valid full UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points
• Possession of a valid CVIT SIA license is preferred; holders receive a £1,000 joining bonus after probation
• Alternatively, candidates can obtain the CVIT SIA license through company-funded training
• Demonstrate safe and conscientious driving consistent with the Highway Code
• Ability to follow directions accurately and work within tight deadlines
• Successful candidates must complete background checks including criminal record and credit history

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary of £35,766.10 plus paid overtime and company bonus scheme
• Joining bonus of £1,000 for CVIT SIA license holders after probation
• Four-day workweek with weekend shifts on a rotation basis and paid breaks
• Annual leave of 26 days (4-day schedule) or 32 days (5-day schedule)
