Role Overview

The Carer position is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Hyderabad Area. The role centers around offering compassionate, practical support to caregivers, elderly individuals, youth, and new mothers. Responsibilities include delivering direct care and emotional encouragement, creating safe and nurturing spaces, and helping with daily life activities as necessary. The Carer will coordinate with families, community collaborators, and Motherly program teams to ensure adherence to and regular updates of care plans while aligning services with the unique needs of each individual. The role also entails facilitating workshops or sessions related to safety, wellbeing, and fundamental health practices. Additionally, the Carer may assist with documenting care activities and impact stories in partnership with the broader Motherly network. This position demands a dedication to providing dignified, empathetic, and person-centered care across diverse community environments.

Qualifications and Skills

• Competent in caregiving and support functions such as assistance with daily activities, basic health monitoring, and emotional support.
• Effective communication skills marked by kindness and clarity to foster trust among children, youth, elders, and families within varied communities.
• Fundamental awareness of first aid, safety protocols, and wellbeing, with openness to receive training on Motherly’s care procedures.
• Organizational and coordination abilities to follow detailed care plans, keep simple records, and collaborate seamlessly with program teams and external partners.
• Cultural, social, and economic sensitivity underpinned by a firm commitment to nondiscriminatory, dignity-centered caregiving.
• Previous experience in caregiving, social work, community outreach, or related fields is advantageous.
• At least a high school diploma; additional qualifications in healthcare, social work, or psychology are a plus.
• Capability to work on-site in the Greater Hyderabad Area, including occasional local travel.
