About the Role
We seek an experienced Business Analyst to join a forward-thinking product engineering division dedicated to transforming business challenges and customer insights into actionable product features. This position is integral to defining clear product capabilities that empower engineering teams to deliver robust solutions efficiently, leveraging advanced analytical and AI-driven approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Managers, customers, and domain specialists to identify business issues and uncover product opportunities through workshops, interviews, and group sessions.
- Convert customer requirements into detailed product capabilities and solution specifications.
- Examine intricate business workflows to propose automation, optimization, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Define both functional and non-functional product requirements and comprehensively document business rules, user interactions, and system processes to ensure full traceability from objectives to implementation.
- Maintain and evolve business domain models reflecting processes, entities, relationships, and events with a focus on financial services regulatory context and security.
- Synchronize domain modelling efforts with architecture and engineering teams to align with product and system design.
- Create clear, testable user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and decision models to guide product development effectively.
- Engage cross-functionally with designers, engineers, QA, DevOps, and data scientists to clarify requirements and support product validations throughout the lifecycle.
- Leverage AI-powered tools responsibly to enhance research, analysis, documentation, and product discovery processes, ensuring outputs are accurate, complete, and compliant.
- Participate in user acceptance testing and customer feedback gathering to refine product capabilities continuously.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 to 10 years of business analysis experience within software product development, specifically in financial services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with expertise in creating detailed business and functional documentation.
- Solid grasp of Agile methodologies and experience with business process modelling and workflow analysis.
- Proficiency using tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Miro, and Figma, and familiarity with AI-enhanced business analysis applications.
- Excellent communication skills and adept stakeholder management.
Desired Competencies
- Product-oriented mindset with knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Business Process Management (BPM).
- Skilled in customer journey mapping, AI-assisted product discovery, design thinking, and systems thinking approaches.
