Role Overview
This full-time remote Business Analyst position involves examining business processes and requirements to support programs that improve career pathways. Daily tasks include gathering and documenting business requirements, transforming them into clear functional specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions. The role requires evaluating current workflows, identifying areas for improvement, recommending enhancements, and assisting in testing and validating new processes or systems.
The Business Analyst is responsible for producing reports and dashboards, effectively communicating insights to stakeholders, and ensuring alignment between business goals and operational execution. Frequent collaboration with internal and external partners occurs via virtual meetings, presentations, and written communications.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, recognize trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in business analysis and requirements gathering, documenting needs, defining use cases, and translating concepts into actionable plans.
- Experience in business process mapping and workflow improvement to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to diverse stakeholders and producing clear documentation.
- Familiarity with common business analysis tools and methodologies such as process diagrams, requirements traceability, and user stories.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting, juggle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Background in workforce development, education, or nonprofit sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
