Soho Sonic Studios consists of recording and post-production facilities located in Soho and Camden, specializing in music production, mixing, mastering, and media services such as ADR, voiceover, podcasting, and sound design. Their client base ranges from emerging artists to established production companies and agencies requiring regular high-volume services.
Role Overview
The Booking Manager oversees the entire booking cycle, handling enquiries, invoicing, scheduling, and client communications across both Soho and Camden locations. The position also supports scheduling for Directors and coordinates session bookings for the A&R team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the main studio email inbox by responding promptly to booking enquiries, providing quotes, and verifying availability of engineers and studios at both sites.
- Process bookings from initial confirmation through invoicing using Xero, ensure session details are accurately recorded, and collaborate with engineers and producers.
- Maintain and organize a shared studio calendar to coordinate music, media, and internal sessions without conflicts.
- Prepare for sessions the day before by confirming with engineers, following up on necessary materials, and ensuring readiness for the sessions.
- Schedule A&R sessions and meetings, assist the Artist Development Manager with bookings, and direct client enquiries to the appropriate team members.
- Provide light scheduling and administrative assistance for Directors, including arranging client meetings, travel bookings, mail handling, and other daily administrative duties.
- Build and sustain relationships with repeat clients and agencies and escalate any issues to senior management as necessary.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in client coordination, booking management, or administrative roles within studios or venues.
- Proficient written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
- Quick learner for new tools such as Xero, Monday.com, and Google Calendar.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail especially for invoicing and scheduling tasks.
- Ability to remain calm and personable under pressure while managing multiple simultaneous enquiries.
- Professional and hospitable approach ensuring the studio environment remains welcoming and clients are offered refreshments.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting and invoicing software.
- Experience working within music, audio post-production, or creative industries.
Compensation
The position is salaried at £27,000 annually.
