Role Overview

The Billing product is one of our newest offerings with highly variable workflows and customer requirements. This role demands adaptability to tailor solutions per client needs, identify commonalities, and translate those into scalable documentation and standardized procedures for the team.

As the key liaison for customer finance teams, you will convert implementation challenges into actionable product insights, shaping the future of Billing implementations and contributing fundamentally to the product’s success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Billing and Payments implementations including gathering requirements, advising on finance processes, configuring settings, and providing expertise on journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting through launch.
• Oversee full accounting integrations, defining data flows, configurations, and impacts on financial reporting.
• Identify and mitigate billing risks impacting revenue accuracy and customer trust; escalate urgent issues with robust analysis and solutions.
• Develop strong partnerships, guiding clients on usage and strategic value of Billing through virtual and occasional in-person engagements.
• Provide pre-sales expertise by supporting demos and customer discovery phases to ensure fit and address gaps before implementation.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to report functionality gaps observed during real-world implementations and propose workable improvements.
• Continuously refine documentation and implementation processes to enhance repeatability and knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years combined experience in accounting, finance, billing, AR, financial operations, software implementation, or customer success.
• Direct experience engaging with customers on complex billing, payment, ERP, or finance-related software deployments.
• Strong analytical skills for accounting and billing data to identify issues and troubleshoot independently across workflows and financial reports.
• Comprehensive understanding of debits, credits, journal entries, and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent project management capabilities including scoping, scheduling, risk assessment, and handling cross-team dependencies.
• Solid knowledge of billing and accounting principles such as invoicing, credits, payments, aging, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Proven track record working effectively amid ambiguous or evolving processes.
• Comfort collaborating across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and Operations teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% as required for customer or business needs.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with ERP or accounting platforms like QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar.
• Background in senior living, healthcare, fintech, ERP, or revenue cycle management industries preferred.
