About the Role
Join Person Driven Clinical Solutions, a team dedicated to providing compassionate behavioral support services to individuals with mental health and intellectual developmental disabilities. As a Behavior Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals live fulfilling and independent lives through person-driven care, data-informed planning, and collaborative team efforts. This position offers full-time employment with paid training and access to DailyPay.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to develop Behavioral Support Plans (BSP) and Restrictive Procedure Plans (RPP) tailored to individual needs.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data through direct observation across multiple settings.
- Collaborate closely with individuals, families, and support teams to create effective, positive intervention strategies addressing behaviors such as aggression, self-injury, elopement, and others.
- Develop and maintain BSPs and RPPs that are evidence-based, person-centered, and reflect essential clinical requirements.
- Provide training, mentoring, and ongoing support to program staff, families, and team members to ensure proper plan implementation.
- Monitor the delivery and effectiveness of support plans and adjust approaches in response to data trends and progress.
- Compile detailed documentation including functional behavioral assessments, progress notes, and monthly reviews utilizing software tools and uphold compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, psychiatric and medical appointments, and Human Rights Team and County Committee reviews to advocate for clients' rights and well-being.
- Adhere to organizational policies and complete required annual training and supervision sessions.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Counseling, or related health field.
- Brings 2 to 5 years of experience in behavioral support services.
- Familiarity with techniques such as Positive Approaches, Dual Diagnosis, Person-Centered Thinking, and Trauma-Informed Care is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability to document and maintain detailed records.
- Compassionate, dependable, patient, and motivated to make a meaningful impact in healthcare or human services sectors.
