Role overview
This position is for an AWS Data Engineer responsible for building, operating, and improving cloud-based systems on the AWS platform. The role focuses on creating solutions that are scalable, secure, highly available, and optimized for performance and cost.
What you'll do
- Design, set up, and run applications and services on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Build and support systems that can scale reliably while staying secure and available.
- Work hands-on with AWS components such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and VPC.
- Use infrastructure-as-code tools to automate cloud provisioning and changes.
- Track application and system health, then make improvements to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
- Apply security controls and follow required compliance practices.
- Partner with development and DevOps teams to deliver deployments smoothly.
- Investigate and resolve problems affecting cloud infrastructure or applications.
- Help implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Carry out upgrades, patching, and backup activities for systems.
Candidate profile
The preferred applicant should have a background in cloud platform work, especially AWS, and be comfortable supporting engineering and deployment tasks in a collaborative environment.
