Associate Project Manager

About the Role

As an Associate Project Manager under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the execution of small-scale projects within the Electrification Smart Power Division, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and achieving project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of the project lifecycle, from detailed planning through to successful delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
• Oversee project financials by tracking budgets, controlling costs, and forecasting to maintain profitability and fiscal discipline.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project schedules, emphasizing key milestones and adherence to deadlines.
• Serve as the main contact for customers, handling update meetings, inquiries, deliveries, and escalation procedures promptly.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and resolve conflicts, securing optimal project outcomes.
• Apply risk management practices to identify and alleviate issues that could impact project quality, cost, or schedule.
• Ensure smooth execution of complex projects with multiple stakeholders, optimizing client satisfaction.
• Monitor and report project progress regularly to senior leadership and involved parties, keeping everyone informed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred with at least 5 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 3 years in project management; or an Associate Degree in Technology coupled with equivalent relevant project management experience.
• Proven background in managing projects within relevant technical fields.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time as required by project needs.
• Must hold valid work authorization to be employed by ABB in the United States.

Compensation

The role offers a salary range expected between $83,300 and $133,280 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
