Role Summary
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Domain Support leads and manages the Domain Support team focusing on maintaining robust domain operations, processes, and procedures. The role ensures services meet budget goals while providing technical leadership and support aligned with QNB Group's IT standards and strategic objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee that various departments receive adequate computer systems aligned with IT standards and policies.
- Contribute to developing strategies, standards, and guidelines for enterprise domain hardware, software, and security, adhering to Group-wide policies.
- Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and best practice methodologies within Domain Support.
- Promote efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and productivity enhancement initiatives reducing waste and optimizing value.
- Serve as liaison between Domain Support, Head of Technical Support, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead support for non-core Server and Infrastructure Applications, including Active Directory, Exchange, Archiving, Enterprise Backup, ECC, SharePoint, ensuring installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Manage and coordinate administrators and consultants, fostering effective collaboration with Program Directors and Quality Assurance teams for workflow and analytical report generation.
- Maintain compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to improve turnaround times and cross-departmental relationships towards Group objectives.
- Provide accurate data and assistance to auditors, compliance, financial control, and risk teams when required.
- Standardize internal practices based on industry-leading methodologies; specify hardware/software solutions and oversee installation, problem diagnosis, and system repairs.
- Plan and support computer infrastructure development and establish lifecycle procedures and guidelines for enterprise domain maintenance.
- Lead troubleshooting documentation and resolution efforts for hardware, software, and system setup issues, managing resources efficiently within constraints.
- Assist in staffing efforts, vendor selection, contract assignments, and ensure project team coordination through progress meetings.
- Administer all servers, including Domain Controllers, disaster recovery, branch, and departmental servers; manage patches, upgrades, hardware repairs and proactive maintenance.
- Operate Microsoft Active Directory, manage user accounts, email services, and ensure disaster recovery readiness including regular DR testing and committee representation.
- Lead domain service administration across technologies such as Active Directory, SQL Server, IIS, and Terminal Servers.
- Champion team leadership, motivate personnel in a 24/7 support environment with a customer help desk model.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and innovation within the team, encouraging out-of-the-box thinking and recognizing contributions.
- Provide end-user training when needed and maintain high technical expertise to minimize business interruptions related to enterprise network systems.
- Emphasize professional development of self and team members, staying updated with industry advancements.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal requirements including AML, CTF, sanctions, data protection, fraud control, and whistleblowing policies.
- Adhere to risk frameworks such as RCSA, KRI, and incident reporting consistent with operational risk management standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive customer and organizational information, sharing it only with authorized senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Uphold high professional conduct to enhance QNB's reputation and support market leadership.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of ten years' experience in financial services specializing in systems network design, deployment, and maintenance.
