Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Blayze Group is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading residential developer for a prestigious mixed-use project in South East London, Southwark. This opportunity allows you to be involved from the early stages of a substantial £200 million development, beginning as piling is underway and the reinforced concrete (RC) frame is set to start at your join time.

Working within an established commercial team alongside experienced professionals, you will gain practical experience in procurement, management of subcontract packages, and commercial delivery during key phases of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of internal trade packages
• Oversee daily commercial aspects of subcontract packages
• Prepare cost reporting and valuations
• Handle subcontract administration and payment processes
• Manage variations and changes effectively
• Assist in forecasting and financial reporting activities
• Contribute to the commercial delivery throughout the construction lifecycle

While primary procurement for major packages like RC frame, MEP, and façade is ongoing, you will take full charge of internal fit-out packages, offering significant commercial responsibility and exposure.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor eager for genuine career advancement. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in at least one of the following areas:

• Residential developments
• Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA)
• Mixed-use schemes
• Main contractor environments
