Assistant Project Manager - Water Sector

Stantec is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its Water Sector team in Ireland, with positions available in Dublin or Galway. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic environment handling multidisciplinary water projects, ensuring technical quality, stakeholder engagement, and timely, cost-effective delivery of key water-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will collaborate with seasoned project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver capital projects and programs successfully. Your duties will involve maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, supporting project planning and scheduling, budget monitoring, risk management, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. The position is ideal for individuals early in their project management careers, particularly those enthusiastic about public infrastructure delivery. Opportunities may also arise to engage directly with client teams and contribute in a PMO capacity to managing projects or programs.

Candidate Profile

Candidates should have relevant post-graduate experience in project management, coordination, or engineering, preferably within the water, energy, or utility/infrastructure sectors. Essential skills include the ability to develop effective working relationships, coordinate tasks to meet deadlines, demonstrate self-motivation and initiative, and exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills. A strong commitment to innovation and superior client service, aligned with the company's growth ambitions, is also required.
