About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team in Victoria, helping maintain lively venues cherished by the local community. This position offers a salary range between $79,500 and $82,500 plus superannuation.
Daily Responsibilities
- Build strong connections with local patrons, becoming a familiar and trusted presence.
- Assist the Publican in ensuring smooth, safe operation of the pub with an inviting atmosphere.
- Develop leadership skills by managing a team of hospitality professionals and gaining experience toward a Publican role.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues to prevent operational disruptions.
- Consistently deliver energetic service and maintain a positive environment during every shift.
Physical Requirements
This position involves regular manual tasks such as lifting and moving stock, kegs, and deliveries. Candidates must be capable of performing these physical duties safely and effectively.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in bars, bistros, or gaming venues, including some supervisory responsibilities.
- Motivated to advance leadership skills gained under skilled managers.
- Confident, personable, and able to represent the venue professionally in the Publican's absence.
- Possession of current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG/RCG) certifications compliant with the state regulations.
