Job Overview
The Assistant Director will lead the Outreach vertical at SRM University, AP, focusing primarily on enhancing corporate partnerships and maximizing placement opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and spearhead outreach efforts aimed at increasing collaboration with industry partners and recruiters.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to onboard new recruiters, startups, MSMEs, and various organizations for internships and final placements.
- Establish and nurture strong professional relationships with corporations, HR leaders, talent acquisition teams, startups, and industry bodies.
- Conduct sector mapping to align placement initiatives with current hiring trends and student skill sets.
- Collaborate across Corporate Relations, Client Discovery, and Operations divisions to streamline recruitment and placement activities.
- Organize placement drives, pre-placement sessions, recruiter visits, and job fairs effectively.
- Act as the university's representative at corporate meetings, industry events, and professional networking forums.
- Maintain comprehensive databases detailing corporate contacts, engagement progress, and placement results.
- Monitor and analyze outreach metrics such as recruiter acquisition, job openings generated, offers extended, and placement data segmented by sectors.
- Support branding initiatives aimed at elevating the university's profile among recruitment communities.
- Work with academic and skilling teams to showcase student strengths, curricula, and training outcomes to potential employers.
- Prepare detailed MIS reports, dashboards, and periodic reviews for the Director of Corporate Relations & Career Services (CRCS).
- Uphold ethical standards, institutional policies, and confidentiality throughout all outreach activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a postgraduate degree in Marketing, Management, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 15 years' experience in corporate outreach, placements, business development, or industry relations, ideally within higher education or talent-centric organizations.
- Exceptional skills in industry networking, relationship management, negotiation, communication, and data analysis.
- Demonstrable ability to achieve results through strategic outreach initiatives.
