Job description

Role Overview

This position entails ensuring the operational resilience and capability assurance of the Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) through robust support and oversight of industry contractors. The role focuses on leading initiatives that address gaps in contractors' operational readiness while ensuring they meet contractual design and stipulations defined by the DIS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and institutionalize comprehensive frameworks to evaluate contractors' skills and resource readiness aligned with DIS operational demands.
  • Create and formalize thorough methodologies to assess contractors' business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Oversee regular assessments of contractors' business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Conduct recurrent, structured audits to verify contractors' capacity to meet contractual obligations and uphold expected operational and performance criteria.
  • Perform gap analysis on existing contracts and collaborate with stakeholders to formulate practical solutions.
  • Design and deploy data-driven dashboards for ongoing evaluation of contractor performance, aiding in informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to contract design processes aimed at reinforcing assurance of contractor readiness and operational resilience.

Challenges

  • Effectively managing a diverse range of outsourcing demands that reflect the evolving operational requirements of the DIS.
  • Engaging and motivating industry partners to sustain readiness and meet established performance standards that support DIS operations.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Degree in any academic field.
  • Minimum of six years' experience in contract-related disciplines such as procurement, supply chain and logistics management, contract formulation, and contractor oversight.
  • Competent in interpreting complex datasets to extract actionable intelligence for strategic decision-making.
  • Possess a strategic outlook paired with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving proficiencies.
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and resolving disputes effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to juggle multiple projects efficiently, delivering outcomes even when schedules overlap.
  • Proven leadership skills with strong capacity for decisive action.
  • Ability to cultivate trust and positively influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.
