Role Overview
The Analyst Liquidity Modelling position within our Treasury Division is integral to monitoring and reporting liquidity and funding metrics for ANZ's New Zealand operations. This role ensures precise measurement of vital liquidity indicators in compliance with ANZ Group policies and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's regulatory standards.
Daily Responsibilities
- Guarantee accurate and prompt liquidity metric calculations, with thorough investigation and explanation of significant changes.
- Prepare and distribute liquidity reports efficiently to the Treasury team, Risk management, NZ Markets, senior leadership, and other essential stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong understanding of banking and regulatory requirements related to liquidity, including modelling assumptions.
- Actively monitor liquidity positions and communicate any changes effectively to management.
Skills and Qualifications
- Fundamental understanding of balance sheets and financial instruments.
- Background in finance or accounting is advantageous, complemented by enthusiasm for working with financial data and numerical analysis.
- A proactive approach with a growth mindset and eagerness to develop professionally.
- Proficient in utilizing spreadsheets, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and managing stakeholder relationships.
