All-Round Mason

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled All-Round Mason to join our construction maintenance team in Ras al-Khaimah, UAE. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge in various masonry activities and ensure work quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute a wide range of masonry tasks such as block work, brickwork, plastering, and tiling with precision.
• Perform floor and wall tiling ensuring proper alignment, levelling, and finishing standards.
• Carry out cement plastering, rendering, and screeding aligned with project specifications.
• Build and repair concrete block walls, partitions, and boundary structures.
• Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and work instructions accurately.
• Measure, cut, and fit tiles, blocks, and masonry materials with care.
• Mix cement, mortar, grout, and concrete accurately following correct proportions.
• Address repairs of cracks and damages in masonry, plaster, and tile surfaces.
• Maintain all work to high-quality standards while complying with safety and project requirements.
• Ensure verticality, level, alignment, and finishing are consistently maintained.
• Use and maintain masonry tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and different trades onsite to ensure smooth workflow.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Adhere strictly to company health, safety, and environmental protocols.
• Complete assigned tasks within deadlines, maintaining superior workmanship quality.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Proficient in block work, brickwork, plastering, screeding, and tiling techniques.
• Basic waterproofing knowledge pertinent to masonry tasks.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and layouts.
• Good understanding of construction materials, tools, and finishing works.
• Committed to quality, accuracy, and safety standards throughout all tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum three to five years of hands-on experience in civil construction performing masonry works.
• Demonstrable expertise in block work, plastering, tile installation, brick masonry, screeding, and concrete repairs.
• Competent in using masonry tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Physically capable to endure outdoor construction working conditions.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Experience working in the UAE or GCC region is preferred and considered an asset.
• Hardworking and dependable with the capacity to work under site supervision.
