Role Overview

We are seeking a proficient AI Software Developer to join our team and contribute to the rapid development of our new AI-native platform. This role centers around using Claude Code as the primary AI assistant to accelerate coding, develop features, and improve automation and workflows integrated within our product ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize Claude Code to design and implement new platform features.
• Convert product and design specifications into clean, production-quality software code.
• Assess and enhance AI-generated code to ensure it meets standards of correctness, maintainability, and efficiency.
• Employ AI tools to create and update automated testing frameworks for new functionalities.
• Engage in asynchronous code reviews, providing constructive input.
• Document newly developed features, APIs, and architectural choices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identify potential technical debts or gaps and escalate them to the development team proactively.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of five years’ experience in professional software development.
• Proven success delivering features rapidly on dynamic platforms.
• Practical experience leveraging Claude Code for development tasks.
• Understanding of prompt engineering and techniques for managing context windows in AI applications.
• Previous involvement with Anthropic API or integrating large language models (LLMs) into production environments.
• Knowledge of agentic workflow designs and tool-use APIs.
• Advanced skills in TypeScript and React frameworks.
• Strong grasp of RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and modern web architectures.
• Capability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to articulate complex technical topics and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual base salary range: $120,000–$160,000.

Location and Work Arrangement

This position is fully remote; however, preference is given to candidates located near our primary hubs in Grand Rapids (MI), Denver (CO), and Chicago (IL) who can participate in occasional on-site collaboration. Secondary consideration is offered to residents in states with existing employees including MA, NH, NY, NC, OR, TX, UT, VT, VA, and Canada. Candidates outside of these locations are currently not eligible.
