Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Cum Stores Manager to oversee daily accounting activities, inventory control, and ensure compliance with financial and statutory norms. This role requires strong expertise in accounting software and inventory management along with maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and maintain comprehensive accounting records.
- Prepare sales invoices, e-invoices, delivery challans and other financial documents.
- Record financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes efficiently.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flows rigorously.
- Assist with GST compliance activities and prepare necessary documents for return filing.
- Ensure proper documentation for audits and coordinate with auditors and consultants.
- Maintain stock records for raw materials, finished products, and consumables with precise tracking of inward/outward movements.
- Monitor inventory levels and flag shortages or surpluses, working closely with production, dispatch, and purchasing departments.
- Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile inventory to maintain accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS, inventory, and sales reports using Microsoft Excel and Tally.
Candidate Profile
- Experience range: 2 to 5 years in accounting, finance, or inventory management roles.
- Strong proficiency in Tally Prime or Tally ERP and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis, reporting).
- In-depth knowledge of GST laws, accounting principles, and compliance regulations.
- Competence in inventory and stores management with strong attention to details and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple departments.
- Experience in manufacturing or packaging industries will be beneficial.
Educational Qualifications
The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Commerce or related fields, like B.Com, M.Com, BBM, or BBA. Additional certifications in Tally, GST, Accounting, or Finance are preferred.
