About the Role
We are seeking an Account Manager to take full responsibility for developing and managing a portfolio of Residential Trade Customers in the building materials sector. This permanent, full-time position is based in Whangarei and involves extensive travel within the Northland region to engage customers, visit sites, attend industry events, and stay informed about market developments to generate new business.

Understanding builders' on-site realities and possessing strong knowledge of building materials and construction processes will enable you to act as a trusted advisor to customers.
Requirements
- Proven track record in sales, account management, or business development
- Strong work ethic, approachable demeanor, and dedication to excellent service
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
- In-depth knowledge of building materials and construction industry practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with technology and capable of using multiple systems
- Possession of a full New Zealand Class 1 driver's license is mandatory
Benefits
- Competitive base salary coupled with an incentive program and a company vehicle
- Opportunities for professional development within the broader Fletcher Building Group

- KiwiSaver employer contributions matched up to 4%
- Access to an Employee Education Fund
- Health and wellbeing initiatives including an Employee Assistance Programme
