About the Role
RFZ Accounting is an FTA-approved tax agency that delivers accounting, bookkeeping, VAT, corporate tax, payroll, and financial advisory support to businesses across the UAE. The company is looking for a proactive and detail-focused Account Assistant to help with finance operations and client accounting work.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep bookkeeping records accurate and up to date for several clients.
- Log daily financial activity and create journal entries.
- Handle sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts, and payment processing.
- Complete reconciliations for banks, suppliers, and customers.
- Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.
- Support VAT return preparation and maintain precise records.
- Assist with corporate tax compliance work and related documentation.
- Prepare payroll calculations and WPS reporting documents.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and other financial records.
- File and organise accounting documents for audit readiness.
- Work with clients to collect financial data and supporting paperwork.
- Follow UAE accounting standards and FTA requirements.
- Support senior accountants with client assignments and other finance tasks as needed.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a similar field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Sound understanding of accounting basics and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of UAE VAT rules and bookkeeping methods.
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel and accounting tools such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, or comparable ERP systems.
- Strong analytical thinking, numeracy, and problem-solving ability.
- High accuracy and strong organisational skills.
- Good English communication skills; Arabic will be considered an advantage.
- Comfortable managing multiple client files and meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an accounting or audit firm is preferred. Knowledge of UAE corporate tax regulations is also valued. Candidates who are ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent part-qualified or currently pursuing these qualifications will have an advantage. Familiarity with IFRS and UAE financial compliance standards is beneficial.
