Job description
Role Overview
Westgrove is hiring dependable and caring Youth Mentors to provide one-on-one support to recipients in their homes and in community settings. The role is centered on encouraging progress, assisting with skill-building activities, and helping clients work toward personal goals beyond the home environment.
The organization supports community members with mental health needs in Southeast Michigan and has both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Responsibilities
- Work individually with recipients to offer guidance and encouragement
- Support skill development through structured activities
- Provide care and supervision in clients’ homes
- Accompany recipients into the community to help strengthen personal goals
- Follow care plans and deliver support independently
Requirements
- Must be compassionate, patient, and reliable
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
- Comfort working independently while following established care plans
- Ability to support people with a range of abilities
- Reliable transportation for travel to assignments
- Must pass the required background checks and screenings
- Applicant must be at least 18 years old
