Role Overview

This position calls for someone with solid experience in property management processes, affordable housing programs, and Yardi Voyager administration. The role works closely with multiple teams to simplify workflows, strengthen reporting, and help employees get the most from the company’s systems.

Key Responsibilities

The role includes administration of Yardi Voyager, support for users, process improvements, reporting, affordable housing compliance support, and coordination with integrations and technology projects.

System Administration

  • Oversee and keep the Yardi Voyager environment and connected modules running smoothly.
  • Set up user profiles, access levels, security settings, and workflow rules.
  • Track system health and help manage updates, patches, and platform enhancements.
  • Protect data quality by carrying out regular reviews and maintenance checks.

User Support & Training

  • Act as the main contact for issues and requests related to Yardi.
  • Diagnose system problems and work with Yardi Support when additional help is needed.
  • Create user guides, training documents, and standard operating procedures.
  • Train both new hires and current employees on an ongoing basis.

Business Process Improvement

  • Work with Accounting, Property Management, Compliance, and Leadership teams to find opportunities for automation and better efficiency.
  • Review current workflows and suggest improvements to system usage.
  • Help roll out new Yardi modules and features.

Reporting & Data Management

  • Build, update, and improve operational and financial reports using Yardi reporting tools.
  • Support leadership with dashboards and performance tracking.
  • Maintain accurate data across properties and portfolios.

Affordable Housing & Compliance Support

  • Assist with system setup for affordable housing programs such as LIHTC, Section 8, PRA, and other subsidized housing models.
  • Make sure system settings match HUD, investor, and regulatory standards.
  • Support compliance teams with reports and audit preparation.

Integration & Technology Support

  • Coordinate connections between Yardi and third-party tools.
  • Help with data imports, exports, and system conversions.
  • Take part in technology initiatives and cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

The employer is looking for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 3 years of Yardi Voyager administration experience is required, along with strong knowledge of property management and property accounting. The role also calls for experience in security administration, workflows, reporting, and system configuration, plus advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills are expected.

Preferred Experience

Extra value is given to candidates who have worked with affordable housing portfolios such as LIHTC, Section 8, and HUD/PRA programs. Experience with Yardi Procure to Pay, RentCafe, CRM, Payment Processing, or other Yardi modules is also preferred, along with familiarity with SQL, Power BI, SSRS, or similar business intelligence tools. Prior involvement in software implementations and upgrades is an advantage.
