About the Team
The Yard Operations group supports a large number of live auctions each year. It brings together energetic full-time and part-time employees in roles such as equipment inspection, yard supervision, operating equipment, administration, and customer service.
Role Overview
The Yard Staff member is responsible for receiving and releasing inventory safely, managing inventory records, operating material-handling equipment, and helping with item check-out. Work may take place at customer sites, RB Global facilities, and government locations. Strong customer service standards are expected at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept and release inventory items during check-in and check-out processes.
- Carry out joint physical inventory counts at government sites.
- Use tracking systems to record, manage, and process inventory.
- Operate both heavy and light equipment as required.
- Complete facility inspections using checklists and handle housekeeping or minor maintenance needs.
- Carry out basic upkeep and small repairs on equipment.
- Prepare and inspect items for sale and present them appropriately.
- Boost equipment when needed.
- Perform basic demilitarization and deidentification tasks.
- Check fuel and fluid levels on equipment.
- Support logistics coordination activities.
- Work directly with customers in a professional manner.
- Travel to other locations when required.
- Handle additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong service orientation for both internal teams and external customers.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Ability to travel extensively, up to 80% of the time.
- Capability to lift 80 pounds on a regular basis.
