Role Overview

Doka Singapore is looking for a committed and experienced Yard Manager to lead the yard operations within its Operations team. The role demands a hands-on manager capable of supervising daily yard activities, ensuring safety, operational excellence, and cost efficiency while supporting project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse and yard daily operations including receipt, storage, dispatch, returns, reconditioning, and deliveries, ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures.
• Plan and optimize warehouse layouts and material flow to boost storage efficiency and timely availability of materials aligned with project schedules.
• Manage inventory accuracy through timely recording in systems like SAP and Discos II; conduct cycle counts, stock reconciliations and maintain thorough documentation such as delivery orders, goods receipts, transfer orders, and stock adjustments.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics and support site deliveries, verifying quality and quantities prior to dispatch.
• Manage the bonded warehouse operations in Johor Bahru with strict adherence to Customs regulations and documentation.
• Lead reconditioning and modification activities for returned materials, ensuring proper documentation and traceability.
• Supervise, mentor, and train a diverse team including warehouse staff, carpenters, scaffolders, operators, and foreign workers, promoting safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare operational reports covering inventory, warehouse performance, delivery status, stock usage, and KPIs; assist with quality analysis and P&L support as needed.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management standards; maintain safe conditions for equipment and the workplace.
• Drive operational efficiencies by identifying bottlenecks and participating in process improvement projects and new system implementations.
• Support cross-functional collaboration and undertake additional duties assigned by management to foster business growth.

Qualifications & Attributes

• Preferably hold a Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Engineering, or related fields.
• Relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, or yard operations, especially within construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities with strong organizational and planning skills.
• Able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines while being detail-oriented and proactive.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience using ERP/Warehouse Management Systems like SAP and Discos II is advantageous.
• Familiarity with warehouse safety standards, inventory control methods, logistics coordination, and bonded warehouse operations beneficial.
• Knowledge of Doka’s product offerings and construction site practices will be a plus.
