Role Overview
Ausco Modular is hiring a practical, hands-on Operations Technician - Leading Hand to work with a compact team in Karratha, Western Australia. This position suits someone who enjoys physical yard work, takes pride in keeping equipment and facilities in good order, and is comfortable carrying out simple maintenance and repair tasks.
Pay and Working Pattern
- Hourly rate: $64.65 inclusive of allowances, plus superannuation
- Job type: Permanent, full-time
- Hours: 38 hours each week
- Roster: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
What the Role Involves
- Moving modular buildings and associated equipment by loading and unloading
- Cleaning, checking, and preparing units so they are ready for redeployment
- Assisting with local deliveries and collections
- Maintaining a yard that is orderly, secure, and safe to work in
- Carrying out basic servicing, repairs, and upkeep
- Documenting inspections and maintenance activities
- Managing customer handovers and responding to questions
- Supporting the Operations Manager and helping guide the yard team in day-to-day work
What You Need
- A current driver’s licence
- A valid high-risk forklift licence
- Previous experience in building, maintenance, or another similar practical role
- The ability to use hand tools safely for maintenance and repair work
- Full working rights in Australia
- A current Karratha local resident, or someone prepared to relocate there
