Join PlaceMakers Silverdale as a Yard & Drive Thru Team Member where you'll be the dependable expert trusted by building trade customers. In this role, you will assist customers both in the yard and drive-thru areas by providing practical support, personalized product guidance, loading vehicles, and fostering a customer experience that encourages repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide product recommendations tailored to each customer's requirements and preferences
• Pick, assemble, and manage customer orders and sales transactions
• Load and unload materials for customer vehicles, delivery vans, and supplier trucks
• Support daily dispatch activities and coordinate deliveries
• Monitor inventory levels through cycle counts and restock as required
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean yard environment including housekeeping duties
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in timber yards or building supplies industries
• Safety conscious with strong manual handling and physical fitness capabilities
• Possession of a valid New Zealand Class 1 driver's license is essential
• Forklift operation experience with an F endorsement preferred
• Familiarity with building products or construction industry knowledge is advantageous
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and approachable nature

Working Conditions

This is a permanent full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with a roster spread between Monday and Saturday.
