Role overview

MUSTER LIMITED is hiring an experienced Workshop Foreman for a busy aftersales operation in Manukau, Auckland. This position is a practical leadership role that works closely with the Workshop Manager and helps run the workshop on a day-to-day basis.

You will act as the main technical point of reference on the workshop floor, supporting technicians, helping diagnose more complex issues, coordinating job progress, and making sure every vehicle is completed to a high standard before leaving the workshop.

This opportunity is suitable for an experienced Foreman, Senior Technician, or Diagnostic Technician who is ready to move into a leadership position within a major Toyota dealership group in New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Workshop Manager with daily operational oversight
  • Assign work and keep the workshop schedule moving efficiently
  • Offer technical support and coaching to technicians and apprentices
  • Contribute to advanced fault diagnosis and complex repair work
  • Track productivity and improve workshop efficiency
  • Perform quality assurance checks so work matches manufacturer expectations
  • Work closely with Service Advisors to keep communication and job handover smooth
  • Support staff learning, development, and training
  • Help maintain a tidy, safe, and well-organised work area
  • Participate in ongoing process improvement across the workshop

About you

You should bring proven experience in a Workshop Foreman, Senior Technician, Diagnostic Technician, or Lead Technician role, along with strong technical and diagnostic capability. Dealership background is required, and you should be comfortable taking a hands-on leadership approach in a busy environment.

Strong planning, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills are important, as is the ability to handle multiple demands at once. You will also need excellent communication skills, a collaborative attitude, and a full New Zealand driver licence.
