Job Summary

This role involves supporting safety administration for building and construction projects by ensuring adherence to statutory safety, health, and environmental regulations. The candidate will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to maintain a secure work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Manager with overseeing safety, health, environmental, and welfare issues to maintain compliance with legal and aerodrome safety requirements.
• Supervise health, safety, and environmental protocols to guarantee adherence to established procedures.
• Liaise with various stakeholders, including authorities and consultants engaged by the developer, to enforce safety compliance.
• Compile and submit daily reports describing site safety conditions and any incidents.
• Conduct routine inspections of health, safety, and environmental aspects, generating comprehensive reports and coordinating with the Project Safety Team and contractors to resolve any issues.
• Investigate accidents and near-miss events, documenting findings accurately using requisite forms.
• Consistently use proper personal protective equipment and follow all safety guidelines on-site.
• Enforce and monitor safety measures in accordance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and the project’s Safety Management System.
• Identify training or certification requirements necessary to fulfill legislative standards, Approved Codes of Practice, or Health, Safety, and Environmental recommendations.

Required Certifications and Competencies

• Must be a Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer accredited by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
• Possess experience in crafting Risk Management Implementation Plans (equivalent to bizSAFE Level 2).

Preferred Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant experience in the construction sector and Land Transport Authority (LTA) projects.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with either a developer or a major contractor.
