Job description

Role overview

Aurecon is seeking a Workplace Experience Officer to join its Auckland office in Newmarket on a full-time, site-based arrangement. In this position, you will help reshape how workplace experience is delivered and contribute to creating a polished, inclusive and welcoming office environment.

What the role involves

You will be one of the first people clients, visitors and employees meet in the Auckland office, helping bring the brand to life through thoughtful service and memorable interactions. This is a varied front-of-house and workplace support role where your ideas, initiative and contribution will be valued as you settle into the position.

  • Provide a smooth, friendly and memorable experience for clients, visitors and employees by anticipating their needs.
  • Coordinate and assist with a busy multi-location events programme, including DEI activities, Limelight events and monthly Auckland office socials, while managing catering, logistics and engagement with stakeholders.
  • Help keep office facilities operating well by coordinating maintenance, security passes, lockers and repair requests.
  • Partner with the Workplace Experience Coordinator and the wider New Zealand Workplace team to maintain accurate communication channels.
  • Look for practical ways to improve the experience of both clients and employees.
  • Assist with everyday office operations such as stock tracking, mailroom tasks, fleet support and general administration.
  • Build productive, trusted relationships across the business and take on ad hoc tasks as needed.

What you will bring

This role suits someone who genuinely enjoys workplace experience and customer service. Aurecon values people with varied career backgrounds who can show they have collaborated effectively to turn ideas into action.

  • Experience in a client- or customer-facing role, ideally in a fast-moving environment or with exposure to event coordination.
  • Solid administration capability, with the ability to learn new systems quickly, stay organised and manage competing demands.
  • An adaptable, resilient team-oriented approach, with a strong focus on delivering seamless service in a busy people-focused setting.
  • The ability to diagnose issues and come up with practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written communication.
  • A current New Zealand driver licence is essential.

Growth and culture

Aurecon describes itself as a place where careers can become rewarding journeys. The organisation says it was recognised by the AFR as a Best Place to Work in 2026 and values diverse perspectives, offering employees the chance to make a meaningful impact.

About the company

Aurecon is an engineering consultancy with more than 6,000 people across Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand and Asia. The company focuses on engineering possibilities and creating infrastructure that improves life for people and the planet.

Equal opportunity and hiring approach

Aurecon states that it is an equitable opportunity employer and welcomes people from all backgrounds.
