About 1KOMMA5°
At 1KOMMA5°, our clear mission is to live permanently on renewable energy from wind and sunlight without cost. To achieve this, we are developing the future energy system through Heartbeat AI, which integrates solar, batteries, heat pumps, and e-mobility into one intelligent virtual power plant connected directly to the electricity market, operating automatically in real-time. Your mission
We seek a motivated Product Design Working Student to join our expanding team, contributing to outstanding user experiences and visually appealing interfaces within our Virtual Assembly Line tools. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by collaborating with a talented team focused on solving global energy challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with designers, product managers, data scientists, and developers to identify challenges, lead user research, and craft detailed design solutions for new and existing features.
- Rapidly comprehend complex models and problems to design intuitive and elegant user-centered solutions.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing with our growing user base.
- Collaborate with internal designers to refine your design skills and accelerate your career development.
Your profile
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field at a German university.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design capabilities and thought process, including academic projects.
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Keen eye for intuitive user experiences, interaction patterns, and visual aesthetics.
- Up-to-date with current design trends and best industry practices.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, enthusiastic mindset.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience or familiarity with the climate technology sector.
- Fluency in German.
