About the Opportunity
SEB is looking for a working student to join the Data Analysis FICC Markets team in Frankfurt am Main. This role is designed for someone who wants to apply academic knowledge in practice, build professional connections early, and grow in an international environment where collaboration and open communication are valued.
You will be part of a team that encourages initiative, supports learning beyond textbooks, and offers room to contribute ideas while strengthening your technical and analytical capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Use mathematical methods to build models that describe the behavior of financial time series.
- Take part in the daily work of the FICC Markets team and assist in serving corporate clients as well as financial institutions.
- Help improve the existing reporting setup.
- Support the development and automation of pricing-related applications.
- Carry out analyses of clients and markets across the product range, including Fixed Income, FX/Currencies, Commodities, and Treasury.
What We Are Looking For
- You are studying financial mathematics, natural sciences, or another quantitatively oriented field, or have an equivalent background.
- You have a strong interest in capital markets and related financial products.
- You bring solid knowledge of econometrics, statistics, and/or stochastic processes.
- You have intermediate programming ability, especially in Python and MS Excel/VBA.
- Experience with Bloomberg is considered a plus.
- You have practical exposure to reporting tools and data visualization applications.
- You work well in a team and communicate confidently in written and spoken English.
